Should I Stay or Should I Go?!
Well this was the million dollar question last a week-a-go today. Should i stay or should i go? Thanksgiving is a time for family, food, and gatherings. I was expected to miss my first thanksgiving in 19 years. My family and i were contemplating whether i should stay in Gainesville all alone or come home for the great turkey. The main question was is it worth a 8 hour drive both ways??? After much consideration we concluded that it was very well worth it. I got to see my cousins from Ohio for the first time in 6 years which is always fun! I also again got to see those people i wanted to see and some i didnt. Im just playing it is always a great surprise running into everyone in Huntsville. It wont be long till im back for winter so if i missed you this trip ill catch you again next round. Well all this driving and all this staying up late partying lead to alot of lack of sleep. So today just moments ago im sitting in the library and i start dosing off well im sitting right next to this door that slams and i could not get to the point of a good sleep cause the door kept opening and closing. Finally i got into the rem sleep period or so i thought and then WHAM! The door slammed and i jumped. Now lets take it back just a couple minutes here while im in the period of trying to get to sleep i find different positions that are more comfortable than others i ended up with the laptop in my lap (makes since), my feet on the table, arms crossed, and sun glasses on. Yes i went all out. Well as soon as i slipped in this sleeping position and found myself in rem sleep then... WHAM!!! That door slammed and yes i jumped all my feet slipped off the table and my laptop slipping off my lap. So quickly while jumping i caught the laptop tried not to scream and had about 30 people look at me and one girl bust out laughing. Dont forget this all took place in the library. So i guess this was my punishment for staying up late. Praise Jesus.
Here is another place you may not want fall asleep.

Im in Miami Trick!
So the saying stuck in my head the entire duration of my Miami trip was im in Miami trick. This comes from a recent highly suggestive song that i dont recommend, but i could not help that i kept saying it every opportunity i got. After all how often are you in Miami?! I went there for a wedding, but that was only one night. We knocked off 3 out of the top ten things to do in Miami while there. In one weekend i ate more food than everyone in Antarctica consumes in a week! We had all of the finest Cuban and Spanish cuisine i could not tell you what they where cause i dont speak Spanish. We are in America i speak American. One thing that you must check out besides South Beach is the Everglades. It was a nice getaway and very cool to see. Kyle (my brother) got the courage to slap a wild alligator (on the tail)! We must have seen a dozen of them gators. If you get a chance take an air boat ride its a small fee of $10 and worth every penny. While in Miami i honestly thought i was in a different country. Everything was in Spanish and everyone dresses much different, lots of wealthy people, and everyone is very up-to-date on there fashion. They all dress up and go out till the early morning hours. Much sleep was lost due to the Miami trip and still have not recovered. The wedding was flawless and worth the trip. My favorite part... a man rolling cigars for tips! If you have a chance go to Jewish wedding they know how to get down with the rest of 'em. Much sleep was lost, more money was spent, and even more weight was gained, but it was all worth it. Miami... Ill be back.

Dentist
So on my last excursion home i had to attend... THE DENTIST! I hate the dentist, but i had no other choice to go, my upper third molar on the right side was killing me! Everytime i would eat or drink something cold i felt like my tooth was on fire! God forbid i chew ice during this time or i would consider pulling a "Cast Away". So i get to the dentist and they tell me nope its not a cavity its your sinus cavity! They told me everything checked out and that i need to go to the doctor. Great. But dentist are no fools they went ahead and cleaned my teeth anyways except i think i had the meanest, strongest, no mercy dental hygienist ever. It felt like a shovel went in my mouth and then they knocked some stuff around and sent me on my way. I keep hearing about this dentist on the radio where you can go to that he will sedate you so you dont feel a thing and then you can be on your way. Sounds like my kind of dentist. Its better than having a shovel in your mouth while your awake! Who enjoys the dentist anyways??? I mean you stress about it for who knows how long, then clean your own teeth ten times over, just before your appointment, as if you can trick the dentist into thinking you have been good and brushed/flossed for the past 6 months you have not seen em. Plus its just not natural, drills and jackhammers do not belong in the mouth and all the while this is taking place there are two things you dont want to hear: "Opps!" or the one most of us expect "Have you been flossing?" The funny thing is when they ask us that question we try to trick ourselves into thinking yeah, yeah i have flossed i went through a whole roll on the way over! I know a dentist and i asked him if he already knew the answer to the question he replied "of course!" so why would they ask? I couldnt tell you. Dentist are mean and they know it! The number one job with the most suicides are dentist! That is very strange and i will never know why that is (Guesses and comments are welcome!). My guess is when you do this to kids you start to feel bad after awhile...:
I cant wait till my next appointment in late spring!

See i live 8 hours from home and when your in the car for 16 hours you get to thinking of stuff and with weddings on my mind i got to thinking about some of the stuff i wanted in mine and i came across this video.
This past weekend was "Short and Sweet" i cant wait until the next wedding in Miami!!!

I LoVe YoU mOm
We all have a Mom and they always say "I Love You!" and we always roll our eyes, smile, and walk away. Some of us never say it enough. Well today im changing that. I LOVE YOU MOM! I am not writing this because i want something. I am not writing this because my mom's birthday is coming and we all know its not near mother's day. So why am i writing this? Because i i needed something to post about!!! No im kidding im doing this because my mom has truly helped me and supported me 100% through my life and especially now when i live eight hours from home. She is always there to back me up and puts her best foot forward. So this is just my little spill about how much she means to me, and no, i wont be able to say it all in one post, but i will do my best. So whenever someone gets a girlfriend/boyfriend one thing they share with that individual is a song. Well i have a song with my mom also. How it came to be "our song"... well when i was younger this song was in the top ten or so and it would always come on the radio, so we would sing it to the top of our lungs in the car together. Recently this song came on the radio on our way to Florida to drop me off at my new home and we then just smiled and laughed. None of my friends would ever guess the song because i hate country, but this would fall into that category. The song is "Where the Green Grass Grows" by Tim McGraw. I could still sing those lyrics today i just choose not to. I do recall telling her i would sing it to her at my wedding, too bad. I still love you mom thats just not happening. See my mom is the cool my as my friends would say. She constantly tries to spoil me and sometimes i let her, after all i am the youngest, i had it rough! I am the youngest of three boys, this made things hard on my mom at times. She always argues that she never gets an girl time and we always try our hardest to pick out the best for her on: mothers day, her birthday, valentines day, and Christmas. One memory i have of this took place long ago. Christmas Eve rolls around and none of us had gotten our mom anything for the big day tomorrow. (Just to plead my case i was too young to drive and broke as a joke) So we pile in the car and head to her favorite store Stein Mart! (its not her favorite anymore though) Upon arrival everyone started to quiz me as to what mom likes. See i was the one would couldnt drive so i went with her everywhere, this meant Stein Mart as well. They wanted to know anything mom had looked at while being in this store. Well ladies shop differently then men. Ladies look at everything and inspect it maybe try it on then end up hating it. Woops! So i did as they ask i showed them everything she had looked at while being in the store and thats what we got her for Christmas. Slippers, cheap purse, watch, and some other stuff. This store is like a discount store so we just piled things on. Then the big morning arrives and she opens her presents and like i said woops! Long story short she returned all the stuff we got. We where used to it by now. Come to think of it the only thing she hadnt returned is rockband (thats what we got her this Christmas you can only imagine her face then) and thats cause we opened it and played it. She still loves us and we love her back, again its the thought that counts. My mom puts up with so much, and she puts up with most of it with a smile on her face. She is kind, helpful loving, caring, worrying, always wanting to know more, and checks up on me more than God. But i love her for it. Every morning i will call her now that i live eight hours away and we will just chat until i get to school. Its a great morning pick me up. She always gets an ear full cause i usually have something to tell her. I will get to see her soon when i go home for my cousins wedding. Its the first time in like three months the whole family will be back together. I know she is excited cause i get a text every three days (that i have yet replied to and im sorry) thats says "im counting down the days until my boys come home!!" Im sure we all are, but we all know Kyle is the most i hear he is the most home sick. Im very excited to go home for the weekend and know she will be there with a great hug. After a month of separation i know she will be excited. My mom is truly the best and i love her more than anything. She is my only reader and the one labeled Anonymous in the all the comments because she doesn't want to embarrass me. She is always putting others before herself. Mom thank you for all you do and your constant support. I love you and cant wait to see you soon.
I know she will kill me for putting this picture up (above) but i had to. This is her and I on my senior prom day.
I love you Mom

Write About Me!
So i was talking to this girl and she said she had read my blog. Great! But she said she started to read it and then quit so i guess it was too boring. So i told her i would write about her and then i guess things would be less boring??? Ha probably not. She got so excited when i told her i would write about her though. Let this be a lesson. First off if i ever tell you i will write about you its probably not going to be a good thing. Second dont get excited, if anything get scared. Third, I dont know the exact standing of how popular my blog is i can imagine it would be next to google or yahoo. Which brings me to my next point: I got the power. TheKoryMiller.Blogspot.com is raking in over 600 readers in a month. What kind of power? The kind to embarrass and ruin your life. But thats not what Christ would do so i would just embarrass you. Then you will forever be labeled as "Oh your the (girl/guy) who Kory posted about hahaha." On this note think twice before you jump for joy about being written about on any blog.
Video of the day: We all do this whether it be on a webcam, in the shower, in the mirror while getting ready, or how about the car! So while laughing with this cute kid take some time to reflect on your embarrassing singing.

Sweet Home Alabama
I went home for the weekend. It was much needed and too much fun. I got to see those i really missed and those i didnt. Why would i drive 8 hours for just a weekend?! Well I tagged along with Chris Frakes who just happened to be making a trip to Scottsburo. It worked out perfect because this weekend was Big Spring Jam in Huntsville, AL. For my local readers and those who dont know what Big Spring Jam is, its a time in Huntsville that happens once a year where many big and up coming artist from all across the nation and put on a small show for the fans. Some big artist for this past weekend include Akon, The Fray, and yeah thats about it. The reason it is called Big Spring Jam and happenin in the summer/fall is due to the name of the park: Big Spring Park. It took me a while to figure that one :/ and sometimes i still forget. This event attracts all crowds ranging from ages 12 months to 90 years old, but the majority of the crowd falling in the 12-16 age range. Despite all this we still did attend BSJ. It was not easy to leave my projector while watching the Florida Gators murder the Kentucky Wildcats and go to see the Fray. Especially when Tebow went down. Talk about scary, i think i threw up more than he did when he went down. I still feel quezzy and he is okay now. Leaving and checking my phone for updates we did eventually make it to the jam like i said and it was so much fun this was when i saw most of the people i didnt want to see. So chances are if you where at the jam and we ran into each other you would fall into that category (ok thats a lie im totally kidding). So my best friend and I where at the fray concert trying to meet up with some of our friends who are on the front row when these ladys/moms approach us... DUN DUN DUN! Not exactly the age range we were shooting for, but they just wanted a Florida update. i did not know these moms total strangers, but just like always i was guilty of wearing a gator shirt and they wanted to know the final score. YEA RIGHT. Ended up i was right no mom cares about sports or final scores (they were from Florida though i will give them that). We must have talked to these ladies for the enitre concert and no it was not about sports. Just some friendly moms trying to hook up their daughters. They were texting their daughters about how they are talking to two cute boys and that the best get out of the crowd and come meet us. Although they were making things easier for Ashkan and I, we were totally down for it until they wanted to show off their daughters in pictures! They were cute just not our type. Thats when we knew we had to get out. Well on our exit they insisted we take pictures with them and kindly we did and left quite swiftly. (Just for clarification we did not leave right when they showed us the pictures chill! They showed us the pictures like mid-way in the concert keep in mind we talked to them the whole concert minus one song.) So we left then i saw on of those people i didnt want to see who i had been avoiding and we turned around and came back to the stage where the Fray was playing and it has just ended. So we quickly went to the side to meet back up with our friends and OH NO. We got stopped. No it was not the moms it was the daughters who adamitly stepped clearly in our path and said " HEY we know you! You two were just talking to our moms werent you?!" I was shaking my head in astonishment thinking what are the odds. They even pulled out their phone to show us picture messages their mom had sent them to prove to us they were the ones whom we were "trying to meet" ha yeah right. We talked a little and then said our goodbyes. That was my adventure for Saturday night. There is more to the story for Saturday but thats another post for another time. Sunday rolls around and I got to step in and out of church for a minute. Enough time to mention it in my blog. Its still my favorite church by far with flawless staff and great people. But some things just never change; that lady that lets her daughter run around and does not one thing about it still goes, the one who comes in late and always sits front left, the family who comes in even later and doesnt find enough seats so they split, the youth who seem to sit in assigined seating, and the same small talk before every service still takes place. But without these assets Life's Journey would just be another church and i praise the lord its not. It was good to be home this past weekend cant wait till Brooks wedding to have a second round.

Cable
First of all sorry to all my two fans out there for not blogging as often. But lets be honest you saw it coming.... I mean i do live in the greatest city in the world. Anyways back to business. I feel like i have been so out of the loop lately. Not in a way to which i think have been missing things to do in Gainesville or missing out on a social life. No I would like to think im fine in those areas. No the loop im alluding to is of the world. You know like... the news! Im what you call not on the DL or i dont have my 411 straight. Like for instance did you know Micheal Jackson died?!? ha ok its not that bad i lied, more like Patrick Swayze. I have not seen CNN or Fox News since August 9, 2009. Some of yall are like well that must be nice or you might be like my grandmother and be thinking that must be hell. Well yes and no. Its nice because those shows are messed up and they only tell the public what they want to hear but thats to all the press not just Fox. Also its nice because it does force me to read now you can catch me in my off time at Panera Bread reading the paper with my Double Caff Latte` White Chocolate Mocha Stirred not Shaken with two shots of espresso. HAHA im totally kidding first off i hate Panera and you wont catch me dead there unless im taking my Mom out and that has to be a very special night. Love you Mom. I will read the Newspaper but its only the sports section of course and it will be at starbucks with a less complicated drink, a Carmel Frap. with extra carmel twice blended and whipped cream. All i really feel out of the loop about is sports anyways yeah... see when dont have cable and no cable means no ESPN, SunSports, CBS, TBS, ESPN360, ESPN 2, ESPN Classic, and Discovery Channel. All of this just means we watch tons of movies and then have nothing to do Sunday afternoons. So why post about me being out of the loop on the lastest with my favorite celebrites and ingury updates with the Florida Gators? Well its to warn those out there that cable is more important. Get a cheaper place where you have to walk two more blocks to get to class and pay $100 cheaper in rent so you can make room for cable. Some of yall dont have this problem, such as you have too much money and you got two blocks closer to campus with the new LED TV and HD Cable. Well in this case there are two things you need to do for me: 1- Invite me over. 2- Donate to Kory needs cable fund. Soon i will post a link to where you can donate to this fund every month around when the bill comes. Ok not really keep your money but just buy me something nice like tickets! Thats right This weekend is the biggest most talked up game of the season. Florida Gators vs. Tennessee Vols why so big? Well some coaches just cant keep there mouth shut, yep Lane Kiffin Coach for the Vols has been running his mouth and well the beat down is near. Many are coming down for this exciting event including my dad, bro, Taylor, and Ashkan. Well Hopefully. Cant wait to see yall! So this weekend go ahead and turn your tubes to the Florida Gators its ok this time because ill be at the game! Look for me. Thanks for reading i hope to get back into the groove soon. One love.

College Football
Well its that time of the year again. College football has rolled around for another highly anticipated season. Localy in Gainesville the fans are already getting crazy and the atmoshepre is insane. You may wonder why but its a no brainer. Florida has recieved the highest number one bids for the preseason AP polls in all of college football history. What does this mean? Let me break it down for you. Florida football has been going on for one hundred plus years and for the past couple of years we have hit our hot streak with two national championships and one Heisman. But this year everyone is putting their money on Florida to do it all again, another national title and two Heisman's for Tim Tebow. Florida is expected to come out and beat our first opponent Charleston Southern (tomorrow at seven) by sixty three points!!! Unfortunatly i will miss the game or maybe miss due to making money. Another question you may have is why would Charleston Southern come into the glorified swamp and get murdered by Florida well the answer is they get paid, 450,000 dollars to come and get there tails wooped by the number team in the nation. Hopefully this will be another great year to be a gator. But as the season kicks off with some games last night things are already getting heated as we can see in the Oregon vs Boise State game. Stay classy Oregon. Dont forget to tune in to watch the Florida Gators open the season and make history this season.

Wake me up
Well good news... I have been way too busy! This week i worked 35 hours. I guess you have to give some to get some. Oh sorry i work at the Florida Bookstore were i meet tons of people everyday! but its a shame i cant work much longer. They offered me the fall position but they require me to work ALL game days and if you know me thats not possible totally out of the question. This week i did manage to buy a pimp mobile (a scooter). Very excited about it and it saves me both time and money, its a win win. The reason for the title (Wake me up) is i felt something that i have not felt since last spring and that is exhausted. I had to invest in starbucks a couple of times and get the best pick me up: Venti Carmel Frappuccino with extra carmel twice blended. So head to the starbucks nearest you and indulge. Its a great treat or pick me up. Another pick me up for me that is only tangible here in Gainesville is Campus Crusade. Here is the thing i hope you have been to Summit, but if not then not only have you missed out, but you wont get my next comment, that is: Campus Crusade+College= Summit on steriods times 10. For those who dont know this equation its like drinking cream soda for the first time (2x) its the best thing ever. I must meet like 40-50 people a night. I love every minute of it and cant wait to see how the Lord will use me in this great ministry. Well i know im loving life and love to stay busy i hope you are doing the same. Its the little things in life that make you smile my thing for this week is my new iphone, its on its way to me and yes i will brag and boast until 3 months from now when the new one comes out. One love.

The Church
Well Today i visited my first church here in Gville. While visiting this church i came to realize how much i truly missed my faith family back home. Going from knowing close to everybody to knowing nobody was quite a shock. I will not say what church i visited because its the internet and i have nothing Christ-like to say. Not to say it was a bad church just not my style. They did have one thing right though and that was today was gator day at the church. Everyone from the pastor to the choir was wearing gator gear. They never explained what it was or why they were doing it but im guessing it was to welcome back the college students. One thing they did that i have never experienced is whenever they read some scripture we stood. So maybe they had some problems keeping people awake? I dont know but it sure kept me awake. Also whenever we prayed we stood. Not that this is bad or anything i just didnt like it. Also i have never been apart of something like that. But like i said i truly do miss Life's Journey "a Church that freaking walks with you." I am very anxious to see where the father places me next weekend!

Feels like a Dream
Well it didnt really hit me that i actually live here in Gville until this past week. It all feels like a long dream or a short vacation. But no i snapped back to reality when i was crusing in front of the stadium and on the radio this guys comes on and says "your number one radio station for the Gatornation." I got chills and relized that im no longer or anywhere near sweet home Alabama. I then I checked my gps to find out that home was only 423.68 miles from me. And thats when i felt a little sick but those could just be butterflys. I took a look around and everyone is a gator fan and yes i have seen this before but this is where i live for 354 more days at least. When i got back to my apt I went to room which is a mess and all i could hear is my mom saying clean that room before you go out! So of course i didnt haha and went out anyways. I actually went to go play football with a great organization called campus crusade. Campus Crusade is a huge organiztion here on campus and there must have been 300 students that came out to play sports. I met this guy named Peter who turns out to be Tim Tebow's brother haha! While playing football with Peter and others i sprained my ankle bad... and i had to walk home which is about 10 blocks. Oh not to mention i had to walk past all the sororitys who just happened to be outside. Yes all the sorority girls where outside and i had to limp past em. Not the exact entrance i was looking for. Its okay though they were all distracted my their big sisters and selling their souls (rushing) to that particular sorority. Turns out all of it was real because when i got home it was hotter inside than outside and i would not have it this way in a dream. Also there was only bread and ramen in my pantry. College has been great so far though! Just pray for my ankle to heal fast.

Viewer Discretion is Advised
Ok so here is the set up. Dan the main character in the video is a mutual friend between Steven and I. Steven is one of my roommates. Dan on the other hand i had just met when this exciting event took place. So we are about to go to David's house to watch a movie when Dan ask "Hey can use your bathroom for a sec before we take off" I replied "sure no prob" and kindly pointed him in the direction so he could do his business. Well a good 20 minutes later Dan leaps out of the bathroom and trys to calmly ask if one of us has a plunger. Well the answer is no we had just moved in and the plunger just wasn't on one of our top list of things to grab. So i asked it is overflowing and lucky at this time no. So for a about thirty minutes we try everything to get this toilet unclogged. Even went and met the neighbors asking them for a plunger. Unfortunately non of our neighbors had invested in this luxurious accessory. So we come back to the apartment empty handed and no clue on what to do to unclogged this bad boy. Just before this video takes place we tried to flush again! Bad move... it ended up all over our floor. Yep thats right about a inch to an inch and a half of who knows what on our bathroom floor. Next is what you see in the video...
Ends Up Dan takes a ten minute trip to his house to grab what we call Barry Bonds. And one plunger and 30 sec. later we are good to go. Dan reported for cleaning duty the next morn and we went and bought Barry Bonds Jr.
I strongly advise for you to go get a plunger if you dont have one!

Finally!
So on Saturday I g0t this call from a familiar voice. It was Katie asking me if i would like to join her to go to the Florida Football Fan Day! After much consideration i opt to go meet the players and coaches and get some autographs. in order to prepare for this event i read in the paper to see when the event started to find that it kicked off at noon and ran till two but they have been known for closing the doors and leaving hundreds outside in the heat empty handed. So the plan was to get there early. Katie calls me and tells me it starts at one, so i told her what i read but she was so adamant that she was right and she had read the paper as well. So I keep my mouth shut and don't argue with the locals and start to second guessing myself that what i read could have possibly be wrong, considering my head was throbbing at the time and much was going on while reading the newspaper at Starbucks. So we both agreed that we would meet up around eleven and casually walk to the non crowded lines to meet the 09' Gators. NO!!! I wake up Sunday around ten about this time 4,000 people had already lined up outside the O'Connell Center (where fan day was held). I get ready, eat, and call Katie to see where she is at. She was on her way stuck in a little traffic since all freshman where moving in at this time. Meanwhile I went to my car to get my wallet when i come across Saturday's newspaper. I grab the paper to check to see who was right of course and well... i read and i quote... "Fan day will run from noon till two doors will open at 11:30 but many fans have been known to line up hours in advance." I looked at my phone checked the time and it was eleven. At this time Katie pulls up! Perfect timing Katie or not depending on how you look at it. I hand her the paper. She freaks out and we race to find a parking spot and run to the back of the line, the line that was wrapped all the way around the O'Connell Center. Thats right we where in the very back number 6,001 and 6,002. I hate to say it Katie, but im right once again! We must have stood in the line for a good hour with no hope running through our mind that we would be able to meet the 09' Gators. Luckily they let everyone in at once and made you choose which autographs you wanted. I raced to the coaches line considering i already have Tim Tebow's autograph (thank you Emily). The lines where stationed by position and each line would take an hour plus to get through. After meeting, talking, and receiving the coaches autographs we ran around like kids taking pictures of the players signing. Turns out we had a great time at Fan Day 2009.

Gainesville- Ghost Town
I recently moved to a small college town in north central Florida called Gainesville. Gainesville is the home of the Florida Gators and 50,000 college students. It has been known to be quite the party spot due to all the recent wins in our athletic department (learn more here). This seems like the perfect place for me to go since my whole life i have been a die hard Gator fan living in Huntsville, Alabama a quite place with lots of confused people who choose either Auburn or Alabama. So all ninteen glorious years of my life i have had to put up with AU or UA but, that is no more (for the time being at least) I live in Gainesville, Florida where everyone seems to have the heart I do. I finally fit in just fine but, it is no place like home as i thought it would be. Little did i know, i moved maybe just a bit too early. Gainesville currently is a ghost town there are maybe 1000 people here and thats the elderly. No cute sorority girls, no events, and nothing to do. I am so bored hints this website. I was very close to coming home yesterday for the weekend to see loved ones and say goodbyes to those i missed, but some wise person told me to wait and i listened unfortunatly. It turned out to be okay though i got to attend a leadership meeting for Campus Crusade where i met lots of great guys and gals that also share my passion for the Gators and Christ. It was overall a good night and i cant wait to start attending Campus Crusade. I truly do miss Hvegas i thought it would be easier to leave, turns out i was wrong! Right now i just need your prayers that i land a job and that it will be soon!
